TheBestIn Posting Policy

At TheBestIn we want to make sure that the site is as clean, friendly and usable as possible for everyone. Ads that fall outside the posting rules stated here or our Terms of Use may be removed from the site. Posters that regularly break our posting policies may find their future use of the site restricted.

General
No duplicate ads
We only allow 1 ad for a particular item/ job/ flat etc. Please don't post the same ad (even if re-worded!) more than once either in the same category or across multiple categories. If there are a few possible areas for your ad then please choose the most relevant. Any duplicate ads will be removed and if you continue to post duplicates we may decide to restrict your access.

Post on your local TheBestIn
Please post on the TheBestIn site geographically closest to you. Ads will only be accepted that are geographically specific and locally relevant. This local community approach is what TheBestIn is all about.

Post in the correct category
Please post in the correct category as it helps both posters in reaching the right audience with their ad and helps the users looking for something to find what they want. The category specific guidelines below indicate which ads we do and don’t accept in each category.

No links to other classified/ property/ dating/ job websites
Please don't put a link in your ad to further details on another website. You should find everything you need on TheBestIn to create a successful ad..

No keyword spamming
Keyword spamming is the practice of listing lots of often irrelevant phrases or words in an ad purely in an attempt to have a better search ranking (e.g. lots of postcodes or locations). We don't allow this on TheBestIn because it is very frustrating to our users to find irrelevant ads in their search results, it can make ads hard to read and it creates an unlevel playing field.
TheBestIn reserves the right to remove any postings that we feel are not relevant, or of value to the TheBestIn community, with or without notice.

Flat/ House Share
Rule of thumb: if you live in the house yourself and wish to let a room within, you can advertise in this section. If you do not actually live in the house, then these sections are not for you.
If ads are indiscriminately posted in multiple, irrelevant categories, they will be removed.

No links to other accommodation websites

Flats/ Houses to Rent
The “Flats/Houses to Rent” sections of TheBestIn are for advertising entire flats or houses to rent. Rooms offered within a flat or house should be in “Flat/ House Share”.
Please ensure that each ad ONLY advertises one property.
No links to other accommodation websites in ads.
Please note that we reserve the right to remove ads where these breach our posting rules and/or our terms and conditions.

Odds and Ends
The “For sale” categories have been designed for private sellers and buyers ONLY and NOT for commercial advertisement or promotion
No links to auction sites or links to your ad posted on another site. Remember, you can use as much space as you like and you can even include 4 photos, so there is no need to direct people elsewhere.
Tickets for sporting or music events at prices above or below face values must state the face value. We do not support ticket touts or scalpers and ads not containing the face vale of the ticket will be removed.
We do not allow postings advertising the sale of ANYTHING illegal including the following: drugs, weapons, obscene, erotic items/material, cigarettes or tobacco products.

Community
All of the “Community” sections are ONLY for postings from individual community members and NOT for commercial advertisement or promotion.

Pets:
The TheBestIn Pets section is to help the community find good, safe, caring homes for pets.
This section is NOT intended to facilitate breeding, commercial pet trading, trade of dogs for the purpose of fighting, stud services of any animal.
Any ads suspected of this kind of activity will be removed.
